My g/f and I had our first baby girl delivered by Dr. Lashway. I'll begin by saying that he did a great job by delivering Taylor (C section). The surgery went very well with no complications. The first time I met Dr. L I did not like him. I did not trust him at all and as time progressed I found my instincts to be dead on. The several unnecessary procedures we "had" to have done I felt were milking the Medicare system. When we went to have the "much needed" sonogram in West Palm Beach at 7:00 am the technician looked at us with much confusion as she did not know why we were instructed to come in the first place. I later found out that all sonogram techs are the same and when the insurance paid for it, it became blatantly obvious what was going on.
When the time came for Taylor to be delivered, I was told that if being on Pitocin did not take affect we could go home and try again another day. Boy was I ever wrong...
When Dr. Lashway came in to check on Danielle he showed no inidication that delivering that evening was going to happen. Manually breaking someones water with no warning or discussion is completely absurd. He entered in and "hooked" Danielle to manually override her body's natural birth cycle. Again later I found that by doing this Dr. Lashway gets to benefit of delivering my daughter in Boca Raton when its more convenient for his schedule. Had we gone home that day and tried again some other time, it would've affected his tee time. I will hand it to him that he is a good surgeon, but he is completely taking advantage of the Medicare system and young womens fears about their first pregnancy. My advise to anyone who has taken the time to read my story is to consider someone else, please. If you want to do things your way DO NOT choose Dr. Lashway. He will only do whats best to maintain his 8 car garage (which he never stopped gloating about during the surgery). After this review I will do what is necessary to have him put under investigation by the State of Florida. Do yourself a favor, don't see Dr. Lashway and if you are currently seeing him, find someone else now before he does the same thing to you.
