I met with Dr. Burte today for my an evaluation prior to my spinal stim trial and I did not know what to expect.
He was a gentle man who instantly made me feel super comfort. Even though our session was remote I and for some of the questions he said required no explanation I found myself readily and easily offering up more information. An hour felt like 15 minutes and I wished I could have spoken with him longer. Although I’ve taken the initial steps with my mental health my session with Dr. Burte has made me feel much more confident about my next steps. He provided great feedback and exceeded ever expectations I could have possibly have a what was just supposed to be a routine appointment. I would highly recommend him to every and anyone!

I am so please to have found Dr. Burte. He was highly recommended to me, at a most delicate time when finding it hard to deal with a situation that I myself struggled to resolve. Dr Burte made it most comfortable to pour out what was deeply bottled up in me, that I myself would have never over come with out the patience, understanding and real concern. I understand and are able to balance out what, when and why I was feeling and going through the deeply hard emotions I felt. I must say, that his staff is as warm and caring as Dr. Burte himself.

Unprofessional: I called to schedule an SCS psych evaluation so I can get a nerve stimulator. I have chronic diabetic and peripheral neuropathy. I am in serious pain and this is very important to me. I had to leave a message. There was no one monitoring the phones. When the assistant called me back I told her what I needed; she took my Humana member ID number and made an appointment for three weeks in the future. I wasn't happy about that but I was specifically referred to this psychologist. Dr. Jan Burte. The assistant calls me back 2 weeks later says that they don't take too Humana Medicaid that I said I had Humana Medicare. I would never say that I don't even know what Humana Medicare is. Not happy with the way I was treated. I wasn't offered any alternative or a solution. She said we don't take Humana Medicare and hung up on me. She called me a liar saying that I said that I had Humana Medicare. That is just not true.

I went to go see doctor Burte and had the worst experience ever he just sat there listening to me talk and didn’t contribute to the conversation. There was a time that I wasn’t able to see him because he had a job at a hospital and put that first I had a metal health crisis and he wasn’t available to help me though it. There are plenty of diamonds in the ruffs that you can find but doctor Burte isn’t one of them he’s completely unreliable and doesn’t care about anyone that he’s helping. I don’t recommend going to him unless you want to have a bad experience like I did.
