It is still the best price but they did raise some prices of the products. I've been shopping at S&A since 2022. I wish they could just keep the lowest rate then people can afford the groceries.

I can find some really great items and great deals some within the best by date and some slightly past which again this is a best by suggested date and not an expiration date. I know some people don't like to buy things that are past that date and it kinda makes sense but I don't mind for the most part and have rarely had any issues with anything I've bought.
Most large retailers don't want to sell anything like that and will pull items before that sell by/best by date is reached but that's where these great discount grocers can step in and provide some unbearable deals!
I've gotten bread, snacks, cooking supplies, bulk frozen foods and drinks from here and have never had any issues at all with the quality, taste and the best part of all is the prices are like buying it 75% less than if you'd have bought it from the original store a month or 2 earlier.
This place has a great selection and enough of almost everything you could need or want and they have a punch card to receive a discount after 5 visits.

I wanted to like this place, but after our recent visit i just can't. Check the dates on everything! Several.of the items I wanted to purchase were out of date by nearly a year or more. I was able to find a few things, but it just wasn't enough to make us returning customers.

I love this store. I save so much money shopping here. You just have to watch what you get. Sometimes, the chocolate candy is old and doesn't taste good. And I have gotten moldy bread before.
I really appreciate them playing Christian music in their stores. Lightens the atmosphere and I sing along through out the store. And the cashiers are all very nice at the Union St. Location.

Hell yeah. If you can save money, why not? Yes, food can be past their expiration dates but the date is usually just a best buy date which just means food is at its absolute best by that date. Anyway, do some research yourself and decide but I definitely save money for my family here!

Why have I NOT known about this sooner? I’ve seen it , but discount groceries I usually just pass by. They had a great deal on skinny pop popcorn! 1.00!!! Then I went in! So many deals I wonder…. I am sure some items have expired, but whatever it’s not a huge deal for me. Some Damaged boxes. To be expected! Many whole food, target, the fresh market, Mexican store and European brand you would pay a lot for. Will be in frequently!
